Women's Red and Gold squads named for this weekend's clashes

Sheffield Eagles Women have a busy weekend ahead as both the Red Team and Gold Team are in action on Sunday afternoon.

Red Team

The Red Team will take on Stanningley at Dearne Valley Bulldogs in their third league game of the Women’s North Championship as they look to build on last weekend’s 38-0 victory over Bradford Bulls.

Kick off is at 1:30pm and free entry is in place for all spectators.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's game, Head Coach Liam Browne said “Stanningley is going to be a tough match up. After last week's dominant performance vs Bradford, we’ve only made three changes this week, and we're ready and feeling confident.”

Gold Team

The newly formed Gold Team will take to the field for the first time this weekend when they travel to Halifax Panthers in the first league game of Women’s League Two.

Sunday’s game will kick off at 12pm and will take place at Calderdale College, Francis Street, Halifax, HX 1 3UZ.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's game, Head Coach James Brown said “I’m so excited to see what the Gold Team can do this season, they have been training really well and it’s a great opportunity to give some well-deserved debuts.”
