Wheelchair Squads named for this weekend's double header!

Top of the table Sheffield Eagles host York Knights on Sunday 14th September, 12.30pm Kick Off at the English Institute Of Sport in the Betfred Wheelchair Rugby League Championship East.
The game follows on the back of the Eagles recent 14-100 victory over Hull Kingston Rovers and victory will cement the Eagles at the top of the league at the halfway stage of the competition.
However, the team will not be taking the Knights lightly and are expecting a challenge, with discussion at training this week focussing on not being complacent and ensuring that the systems and structures are stuck to.
Head Coach Greg Brown is missing only David Butler from that last game, who is unavailable due to work commitments and will otherwise field a full complement of his Red team players, which includes recent addition to the England National Performance squad, Chris Haynes.
Prior to the Championship East game, both club’s “A” Teams will meet at 10.30am for a friendly match in what will be another competitive encounter between the two sides following a closely fought battle in May up in York.
Stacey Roulson will miss the encounter, but otherwise coach Joe Wink-Simmonds has an unchanged line up from the Gold team’s last encounter with Salford Red Devils with Ben Wilson also returning to the fold.
Entry to the games is free and spectators are encouraged to attend prior to the men’s clash vs Swinton Lions, 3pm kick off, with adequate time to transition between the two venues.
