Wheelchair squad named for Bradford Super League clash tomorrow

Wheelchair Head Coach Greg Brown has named his squad for tomorrow’s Betfred Super League clash against Bradford Bulls (1:30pm KO).

Despite extensive efforts since February to agree an alternative fixture date that would have allowed both clubs to field their strongest available squads and protect the integrity of the Betfred Wheelchair Super League competition, Bradford Bulls have opted to keep the original date.

As a club, we believe in doing the right thing. With England's National Performance Squad training this weekend, our players selected by the national programme will attend camp with our full support and blessing.

That commitment creates opportunities for others, and four players could make their Betfred Wheelchair Super League debuts tomorrow. Aiden Walker, Liam Richardson, Leah Steel and Chris Sharman have all impressed for our Wheelchair Reserves and Development teams throughout 2026 and are now in line for their first taste of Super League action.

Developing talent has been central to our wheelchair programme from day one. We're incredibly proud to be able to hand another group of players the opportunity to experience top-flight Wheelchair Rugby League.

The team will be looking to complete a league double over Bradford and secure a fifth Betfred Wheelchair Super League victory of the season.

Following the Super League fixture, our Wheelchair Reserves will also take on Bradford, with that match kicking off at 3:20pm.

Both games will be played at Sedbergh Sports & Leisure Centre, giving supporters the perfect opportunity to enjoy.
