Sheffield Hawks Join as Ambassador Club
01/05/2024
Our next ambassador club needs little introduction, the Sheffield Hawks. The hawks over the years have provided many Eagles stars with current players Cory Aston and Eddie Battye starting their playing journey at the Sheffield club. The Club is ever present at Eagles matches home and away as well as supporting our foundation programmes and we are proud to have them on board officially as an ambassador club.
The Hawks over the years had faced adversity with being nomadic but within the last year have been rejuvenated with a new committee and a permanent home at Parson Cross park thanks to the RLWC legacy funding, offering playing opportunities for little hawks (U5’s) through to U13’s boys. Girls are welcome throughout the age groups, and they are the first club in Sheffield to offer a girl’s only rugby league team at U12’s.
More recently the club has relaunched their men’s open age team as well as a new offer for Women’s masters.
The Hawks pride themselves on being a family orientated club and beyond playing there is plenty for volunteers and parents to get involved in.
Everyone at The Sheffield Eagles is proud to have them on board and looking forward to supporting all our ambassador clubs.
