Sheffield Eagles Women's Gold Team invited to join league 2 for 2024

Our Sheffield Eagles Womens Gold team will kick off their season later this month after recently been invited to join the RFL’s league 2 competition. They will be joined by Halifax, Elland, Barrow and District Raiders,  Whitehaven and Orrell St James.  Rugby Development Officer Andrea Dobson says “it’s a great opportunity for our Gold team to play in a structured league while offering the correct playing opportunity for players new to rugby league or developing. As a club we strive to provide opportunities to play rugby league for anyone who wants to give it a go.  

Gold team Head coach James Brown added “I think it’s fantastic the amount of support Sheffield Eagles are giving to growing the women’s game giving opportunities for all levels of players to wear the red and gold. If a player wants to push to play in the championship or is new to Rugby altogether we want to see as many as possible joining us to train at Bawtry road”
