Render leaves Eagles

Sheffield Eagles can announce Jack Render has left the club.

The winger joined the club late last year ahead of the 2021 season but has requested an early release from the contract.

Render made one appearance from the club, in our defeat away to Newcastle Thunder.

Speaking of his departure Render said: “I’ve been lucky to experience everything I have in my rugby career but now I feel is the time to move on from rugby,"

“I wish the squad and all the backroom staff all the best for the rest of the season and I’ll still be supporting from afar.

Eagles Head Coach Mark Aston added: “It’s a shame Jack has decided to call time of his career but he has gone about his business the correct way.

“We wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do next and thank him for his time and effort at the Eagles."
