Red and Gold Wheelchair squads named for this weekend's fixtures
21/06/2024
Sheffield Eagles play the first of two consecutive double-headers of Wheelchair Rugby League this Saturday at the English Institute of Sport.
The club’s Red Team face Wakefield Trinity in their second Championship East game of the season, looking to build on their opening round’s 4-72 win away at Bradford and maintain their top-of-the-table position in the league. The game kicks off at 12.30pm, following the club’s Gold Team taking on Bradford Bulls ‘A’ in a friendly game with a 10.30am start.
For the Reds, the team is unchanged from the Bradford game, although Shaun Orton will not feature as he is selected for the Gold team, and Head Coach Greg Brown remains without David Butler and Ben Simpson due to the other commitments.
The Gold team sees Stuart Wilkinson return from a training injury but is mostly unchanged from the team which faced York Knights ‘A’ last month.
Entry is free for both games.
