Sheffield Eagles’ journey in the 1895 Cup begins this weekend with a trip to face Swinton Lions in the Preliminary Round of the competition.
Craig Lingard’s side return to Greater Manchester this Sunday after facing Rochdale Hornets away last time out. A 44-20 victory at the Crown Oil Arena saw us extend our unbeaten start to the new Betfred Championship campaign as we made it four wins from four.
This weekend’s opponents will be going in search of their first victory of the season this weekend. They currently sit in 19th in the table with six defeats from six games, so they’ll be looking to get back to winning ways and kick-start their cup campaign.
The winner of this weekend’s clash will travel to the Crown Oil Arena to face Rochdale Hornets away in the 1st Round of the 1895 Cup, with that game to be played across the weekend of 18/19th April.
