Match Preview | We welcome Salford to the Steel City on Sunday
23/04/2026
Sheffield Eagles will aim to get back on track in the Betfred Championship this Sunday afternoon as we host Salford R.L.F.C at the Steel City Stadium (3pm kick-off).
Craig Lingard’s men will be determined to respond after consecutive league defeats against Doncaster and London Broncos in recent weeks.
New loan signing Jordan Abdull could feature for the first time following his move from Widnes Vikings, potentially providing a significant boost as the Eagles look to return to winning ways.
Salford, meanwhile, make their first visit to the Steel City since 2008 and arrive in good form, having secured back-to-back Championship victories in recent weeks against Swinton and Batley.
See below for all the essential information ahead of Sunday’s encounter with Salford.
