Match Preview | Tough test to The Shay awaits this Sunday.
16/04/2024
Sheffield Eagles will look to make it five successive victories in the Betfred Championship on Sunday afternoon when we make the trip across to West Yorkshire to take on Halifax Panthers.
Mark Aston’s side have secured victories over Toulouse Olympique, Doncaster, Whitehaven, and Swinton Lions in recent weeks, which has seen the club climb up to third place in the Betfred Championship table.
As only one of three teams who remain unbeaten so far this season in the league, alongside Wakefield Trinity and Widnes Vikings, Sunday’s game presents the Eagles with another opportunity to extend that run even further.
Standing in our way is a Halifax Panthers side, who have secured two victories in their opening four Championship fixtures.
Having recruited the likes of Greg Eden and Gareth Widdop during the off-season, Liam Finn’s team will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways after a disappointing second-half performance away at Widnes last weekend.
Halifax Panthers vs Sheffield Eagles takes place this Sunday 21st April 2024. Here’s all the information you need to know ahead of our trip across to West Yorkshire this coming weekend.
