Match Preview | Season opener against Halifax this Sunday!

We start the 2025 Betfred Championship season on Sunday afternoon with a home game against Halifax Panthers at Olympic Legacy Park (3pm).

Craig Lingard’s men will be hoping to return to winning ways and start the new season on a high after defeat on Friday evening to reigning World Champions Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Challenge Cup.

Halifax travel to South Yorkshire under Kyle Eastmond, who signed a three-year deal with The Panthers in the off-season to become their new Head Coach, and they’ll be wanting to return to winning ways after they also fell to defeat last time out to Catalans Dragons, also in the Challenge Cup.

TICKETS

Match Tickets for Sunday’s game remain on sale, and you’re able to secure your spot for this game now by clicking HERE.

Ticket prices for the game are as follows:

SEATING

Adults - £21

Concessions (65+, Students) - £16

Juniors (U16’s) - £8

STANDING

Adults - £19

Concessions (65+, Students) - £13

Juniors (U16’s) - £6

 * Please note that all ticket prices, except Juniors, will increase by £2 on the day of a game.  

TURNSTILES

Turnstiles will open at 1PM. Supporters are encouraged to arrive early to facilitate a smooth entry into the stadium and avoid any delays.

PARKING

We’re pleased to announce we have on-site parking for gamedays at Olympic Legacy Park for the 2025 season. Worksop Road car park is available to use for supporters on a first-come, first-served basis. Car park spaces cost £5 and will be available to buy with CASH ONLY.

Alternatively, there is some street parking available around Olympic Legacy Park, but please note that this is limited. Please be mindful of the residents when parking your vehicle.

21-MAN SQUAD SHEETS

For the 2025 season, we will not be producing a match programme. Instead, a printed copy of the 21-man squads for both teams will be available. These will be limited in quantity but can be obtained free of charge from our gameday volunteers inside Olympic Legacy Park.

We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be joined by Sheffield Eagles legends Johnny Lawless for this game.

You can book your place in hospitality now for £40, which includes: your match ticket, a car parking space, a meal served at 1:30pm, tea/coffee & biscuits, and access to our post-match presentations.

Season Pass holders are also able to access this by upgrading for only £20.
