Match Preview | Eagles travel to Cumbria this coming Sunday
01/04/2024
Sheffield Eagles are back on the road this coming weekend when we travel up to Cumbria to take on Whitehaven in Round 3 of the Betfred Championship on Sunday afternoon (3pm).
Mark Aston’s side travel to the LEL Arena hoping to carry on their unbeaten start to the season in the league, having seen off Toulouse Olympique and Doncaster in the opening two rounds of the new league campaign.
Good Friday’s win over Doncaster also made it nine wins from our last ten games in all competitions for Aston’s side, with the only defeat of the season coming as a 44-18 defeat at Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Challenge Cup Sixth Round two weeks ago.
We take on a Whitehaven side who also remain unbeaten after the opening two games of the season, having defeated both Swinton Lions (18-16) and Barrow Raiders (23-22) at home.
In their third home game of the season already, the hosts will be looking to secure another victory of the Eagles and replicate the two victories they secured against us last season.
