Match Preview | Eagles face another trip to York this Sunday
27/06/2024
Sheffield Eagles travel to the LNER Community Stadium for the third time this season on Sunday afternoon as we set to take on York RLFC Knights in Round 13 of the Betfred Championship (3pm).
We’ve been victorious on our last two trips to North Yorkshire, having clinched a 16-32 victory in the 4th Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup back in February, before we sealed our place in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final with a 18-28 win last month.
Mark Aston’s side will also look to make it a third successive win in the Betfred Championship having seen off Featherstone Rovers and Widnes Vikings in the last two weeks.
York have recently appointed Mark Applegarth as their new Head Coach, a decision which has proved vital in recent weeks. His first game saw the Knights seal a resounding victory away at Dewsbury Rams, before they came from behind to beat Featherstone by a ten-point margin last weekend.
