Match Preview | Doncaster away this Sunday in Pre-Season

Sheffield Eagles take on Doncaster RLFC at the Eco-Power Stadium this coming Sunday in our first outing of the 2025 season in a pre-season friendly.
After the disappointment of QLT’S Testimonial Game against Castleford being postponed on Friday evening, the Eagles will take to the field for the first time under Craig Lingard since he became our new Head Coach last month.
Sunday’s game will also be Doncaster’s first run-out of the new campaign, ahead of their upcoming Betfred Challenge Cup 2nd Round tie against Bradford Bulls next weekend.
The game kicks off at 3pm on Sunday afternoon at the Eco-Power Stadium. Please read below for all the key information ahead of your trip to Doncaster.

Tickets remain on for Sunday’s game, and available to purchase online HERE.
Spectators will be located between blocks F10-F13 in the Family Stand at the Eco-Power Stadium, where unreserved seating will be in place.
Prices for Sunday’s game are as follows:
Adult/66+ (GOLD – Including Restaurant Access) - £15
Adult / 66+ - £10
Ages 6-17 (GOLD - Including Restaurant Access) - £4
Ages 6-17 - £2
U5’s - Free

Competitively, the Eagles have secured nine wins in a row against Doncaster in recent years.
After two early trips to the Eco-Power Stadium last season, the most recent game between the two sides was in August last year, when we ran out as 22-20 winners in the Betfred Championship.
The last victory Doncaster hold over Sheffield Eagles came as a 42-34 win in the Championship during the 2014 season, which was staged at the Owlerton Stadium.
