MATCH PREVIEW

It’s the Wheelchair Championship Grand Final this coming Sunday at the Allam Sports Arena in Hull as the Sheffield Eagles take on Gravesend Dynamite (2:30pm).

The Eagles will be hoping to end the season on a high and lift silverware this weekend, having gone the full season unbeaten in the Championship East.

A 100%-win percentage in the league after eight wins saw us progress into the semi-finals, where we went on to beat North Wales Crusaders 48-38 two weeks ago.

Gravesend Dynamite also head into Sunday’s game with a matched record after they went the full season unbeaten in the Championship South, before they dispatched Hereford in the other playoff semi-final.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

This weekend’s Grand Final will only be the second-ever meeting between the two sides.

In only our third season as a Wheelchair side, we’ll be looking to lift silverware this Sunday and get one over Gravesend after they ran out as winners against us in last year’s Challenge Trophy Final at the English Institute of Sport.
