Masi Matongo signs new one-year deal with the club!

Sheffield Eagles are delighted to confirm that forward Masi Matongo has agreed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 29-year-old made his return to Rugby League last winter after a year away from the sport, and he’s gone on to feature regularly for the Eagles during the 2025 campaign.

Matongo previously made over 50 appearances in the Betfred Super League with Hull FC prior to his move to South Yorkshire and has also enjoyed spells with Bradford Bulls and York Knights in recent seasons.

The forward becomes the second player to commit his future to the Eagles ahead of the new campaign, following the re-signing of Jack Bussey announced yesterday.
