Greg Eden Signs New Deal with Sheffield Eagles for 2027

Sheffield Eagles are delighted to confirm that Greg Eden has signed a new deal with the club, securing his services for the 2027 season.

The experienced back joined the Eagles midway through last season and made an immediate impact, stepping in at full-back and quickly established himself in the side.

Having started the 2026 campaign with spells at North Wales Crusaders and Bradford Bulls, Eden settled seamlessly into life at Sheffield, scoring eight tries in 11 appearances and playing an important role in helping the Eagles secure a seventh-place finish in the Championship.

The new deal will also see Eden reunite with Ryan Sheridan, who served as assistant coach at Castleford Tigers during Eden’s time with the club. The pair were part of the Castleford side that won the Super League Leaders’ Shield and reached the Grand Final at Old Trafford in 2017.

Eden becomes the 19th player to be contracted for the 2027 season as the Eagles continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
