Sheffield Eagles are delighted to announce the signing of Greg Eden until the end of the 2026 season.
The experienced outside back joins Craig Lingard's side ahead of the final 11 games of the regular season, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record at both Super League and Championship level.
Eden began his professional career with his hometown club, Castleford Tigers, in 2011 before going on to feature for Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR in Super League, as well as Brisbane Broncos in the NRL.
He returned to Castleford ahead of the 2017 season and went on to establish himself as one of the most prolific finishers in the club's history, scoring an incredible 112 tries in 122 appearances across two spells with the Tigers.
His standout campaign came in 2017 upon his return to England, when he crossed for 41 tries in just 31 appearances, helping Castleford secure the League Leaders' Shield and reach the Betfred Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.
After seven seasons back in West Yorkshire, Eden made the switch to the Championship ahead of the 2024 season with Featherstone Rovers, before later joining Halifax Panthers.
He then spent time with Hunslet at the start of the 2025 campaign, before signing for North Wales Crusaders ahead of the 2026 season.
Capable of playing at full-back, centre or wing, Eden arrives at the Eagles after an impressive start to the current campaign, scoring 10 tries in 11 appearances for the Crusaders.
More recently, he featured for Bradford Bulls on a one-month deal and marked his debut with a try against Hull KR during his short spell at Bartercard Odsal Stadium.
The former England Knights international now makes the move to the MEPS International Home of Football Stadium for the rest of the 2026 season and will be available for selection for next Saturday's Betfred Championship Round 16 trip to Barrow Raiders (6pm kick-off).
