Eagles vs Illingworth Match Preview

Following on from last week’s dominating performance against Rochdale Hornets, the Eagles return home this weekend to face Illingworth, in what could be their toughest battle yet. 

The two teams last faced each other in Illingworth, back in June. The tight battle resulted in the Eagles cinching a 24 - 28 win. This weekend the Eagles will look to put into practise all they’ve learned over the past months, to hopefully secure an important win with just 2 games left until playoffs.

Ahead of the game, Captain Pete Lendon comments: "When we played Illingworth earlier in the season, it was arguably one of our most challenging games. There were times where they were dominating and times where we were. But we battled and came out on top.” 

“This weekend we want to show Illingworth how far we have developed as a team. We hope to up our consistency, complete sets and really show our skill as a team as we reach the final few weeks of the season.”
