Eagles Holiday Activity Camps In Partnership With StreetGames
15/07/2021
The Eagles Foundation will be hosting a series of camps for young people - ages 8-14 - for the first four weeks of the school holidays in partnership with StreetGames as part of their Fit & Fed campaign.
The camps will run from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday in W/C 26th July, W/C 2nd August, W/C 9th August and W/C 16th August and will take place at Parson Cross Park Pavilion, Buchanan Road, Sheffield, S5 8AL.
Each day attending will receive breakfast and nutritious meal before departure and will be able to take part in a range of activities on a varied timetable which include Rugby League skills, boxing fitness, circus skills workshops, multi-skills sports sessions and mental fitness training delivered by Rugby League Cares.
“With 30% of people aged 14 to 24 living in poverty and 3.5m children growing up in poverty in England, it is important that The Eagles Foundation does its bit to tackle holiday hunger,” said Andrea Dobson, The Eagles Foundation’s Development Officer.
“We’re very excited to be working with StreetGames on the Fit & Fed programme and looking forward to engaging with young people in the Parson Cross area who want to come down and try some new things.
“It won’t all be Rugby League and there will be plenty to do for boys and girls.”
Space on the camps is free, but booking is essential as numbers are limited, so please do get in touch to secure your place and tell us what you’re most looking forward to doing.
“Even if you just want to come and meet some new people in a safe environment and make sure you get a good meal, you’ll be welcome to attend,” Andrea continued.
“We’ve got some great people who will be leading the sessions and getting involved over the course of the four weeks and they’re all looking forward to meeting young people in the area and helping them to make the most of their summer!”
Bookings can be made by contacting Andrea on either andrea.dobson@eaglesfoundation.co.uk or by calling 07960 135 699.
