25/04/2024

We're pleased to announce that Dearne Valley Bulldogs have become the latest club to become one of our new Ambassador Clubs.

Sunday's Sheffield Eagles Women's Red side's game against Stanningley will take place at their stadium in the Women's North Championship, which will kick off at 1:30pm.

Dearne Valley Bulldogs' stadium can be found on Vancouver Drive, Bolton Upon Dearne, S63 8DT.

Dearne Valley Bulldogs was founded in 2001/2002 Season. Ian Daintith started the open age team which climbed the through the leagues, starting from Division 6 and made their way up into Divison 1

In 2010 it was time to build a junior team. At their open sessions, there were more then 40 kids down at all different ages. allowing them to create teams including their U8's, U10's and U11's.

In 2012 Dearne Valley Bulldogs acquired a long term lease from Barnsley Council, finally allowing Dearne Valley Bulldogs to focus and build a juniors section.

Two years later, they were picked by the RFL and won the Community Club of the Year award for being the fastest growing Rugby League club in South Yorkshire.

Since then, the club has grown from strength-to-strength and have raised funds to build their very own Clubhouse, thanks to a lot of hard work from volunteers and the community.

Dearne Valley Bulldogs offer rugby league to all diverse backgrounds and don't ask for weekly subs, with their goal to make it affordable for everyone to play Rugby League.

On the 25th May, they're hosting a grand opening day to celebrate the success of the club and the building of their new clubhouse, inviting as many people to come as possible.
