April is Autism Awareness Month, and across the last four weeks, we have shared stories from players and staff across our teams who live with autism, highlighting their experiences and how Sheffield Eagles support them.

Today, we hear from Loki Mann, who is a player for our LDRL team.

Loki is one of Sheffield Eagles’ most recognisable supporters, with her vividly coloured hair, sitting, passionately vocal, with her LDRL friends.

She started playing with the LDRL team in 2022, when she was at college: “It’s really good fun, I really enjoy it, I’ve made lots of friends here.”

Loki’s highlights have included playing at Magic Weekend and Flag Waving at Wembley in 2024, when the Eagles played in their second 1895 Cup Final, against Wakefield.

Her first Eagles involvement was aged ten. “My Mum gave me a birthday present of being a Mascot at the Hillsborough Dog Track (Owlerton Stadium). I walked out on to the pitch with Mitch Stringer”.

“For her 2026 shirt presentation, Loki chose Connor Bower, and in previous seasons, Loki had been given her shirt by Ollie Roberts & Jesse Sene-Lefao.
