Women's Red Squad named for Leigh Leopards trip

Sheffield Eagles Women’s Red Head Coach Liam Browne has named his side that will feature against Leigh Leopards on Sunday afternoon in the Women’s North Championship (2pm).

New signing Leilah Mills is named in the squad after the Welsh international joined the Eagles recently, alongside four players who join this weekend’s squad on dual registration from York Valkyrie.

Speaking ahead of this game, Browne said “This is going to be an interesting one, it's our first league game after two cancellations earlier in the season.

“We’re missing a few key players this weekend, but we need to make sure that we turn up, play our game, hit and run hard, and complete our sets.

“Leigh have just come down from Super League, so we know this will be a tough game on Sunday against a well-drilled side.

“We're excited to finally get the league started on Sunday and hopefully we can get something out of the game.”
