Women Squad named for Hull KR season opener

Women's Red Head Coach Liam Brown has named his side ahead of their Women's Championship season opener against Hull KR on Sunday afternoon (2pm kick-off).

After last weekend's game against Castleford was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, the Women's team will instead get their league season underway this weekend in East Yorkshire.

Speaking ahead of the game, we caught up with Liam, who said "We're excited for Sunday, after having our first match last week postponed, we're ready to get out there.

"Hull KR will be a tough challenge, we split the series with them last year, in tough, physical, and close games, but we've worked hard in the off season and we're ready.

"On Wednesday we had an opposed training session with York Valkyrie, it was a great test for us and has set us up well for this weekend.
