Will Oakes extends loan deal at Batley Bulldogs

Sheffield Eagles can confirm that Will Oakes’ loan spell with fellow Betfred Championship side Batley Bulldogs has been extended for a further month, following an initial one-week agreement.

The 26-year-old joined James Ford’s side ahead of last weekend’s fixture and featured on the wing as Batley suffered a 28–10 defeat to Halifax Panthers at The MBI Shay.

Under the terms of the extended deal, Oakes will remain available for selection and is in contention to feature in the Bulldogs’ upcoming fixtures against Catalans Dragons, Doncaster R.L.F.C., Midlands Hurricanes and Swinton Lions.
