Wheelchair side take part in RFL 4's festival this weekend

03/04/2024

Sheffield Eagles Wheelchair Team will have their first formal engagement of the year as they head to Wigan's Robin Park for the annual RFL Wheelchair 4s Festival.

The event, which sees almost every team in the RFL competitions take part, sees teams playing an exhibition event in a smaller 4 a-side format in 15 minute games.

There are no winners and losers, but an opportunity for teams to play new opposition and network with their rivals ahead of the season.

The 4s Festival precedes the European Club Challenge in which BetFred Wheelchair Super League Champions Wigan Warriors will host their French counterparts Catalans Dragons at 6pm.

The Eagles are sending three teams to the event, each a squad of five who will rotate throughout each game.
