Welham on board for 2024

Sheffield Eagles can confirm centre Kris Welham has signed a new one-year deal.

Having combined superbly with Ben Jones-Bishop over the last two years, the duo will have the chance to do it all over again at the Olympic Legacy Park in 2024.

Welham has made 50 appearances for the Eagles since signing from Featherstone Rovers ahead of the 2022 season.

Director of Rugby Mark Aston commented: “Kris is as we expected when we first signed him; professional, an outstanding teammate and someone we can all trust to get the job done,”

“Of course he isn’t the youngest but his experience is absolutely vital, not just for the team on the field but also during training and passing on little snippets of information and advice to others.

“We’re blessed to have the likes of him, QLT, and BJB within the camp.”
