Squad named for 1895 Cup clash against Rochdale Hornets

Craig Lingard has confirmed a 20-man squad for Sunday’s 1895 Cup 1st Round tie against Rochdale Hornets at the Crown Oil Arena (3pm KO).
A victory in last month’s Preliminary Round at Swinton Lions set up this weekend’s clash with the Hornets, which will be our second meeting with them in 2026, after we faced them at the Crown Oil Arena last month in the league.
The Eagles came out on top in that game, and we’ll be aiming to return to winning ways this weekend. Following back-to-back defeats in the Betfred Championship, Lingard’s men will be looking to bounce back and secure our place in the quarter finals of the 1895 Cup this Sunday.
Will Oakes comes back into contention for Sunday’s trip across the Pennines, as does Jamie Cooke, who’s named for the first time in an Eagles squad.
