Sid Ramsey earns Wales Wheelchair international squad call-up
18/05/2026
Everyone at Sheffield Eagles would like to congratulate Sid Ramsey, who has received his first senior Wales Wheelchair international call-up for this weekend’s Celtic Cup in Edinburgh.
The 17-year-old has been named in Alan Caron’s squad for Saturday’s competition at the Oriam Performance Centre, where Wales will face both Ireland and Scotland.
Ramsey has enjoyed an excellent season for the Eagles so far, scoring nine tries in six appearances, with two of those coming in yesterday’s victory against Hull FC in the Betfred Wheelchair Super League.
He is one of two uncapped players selected in the Wales squad as they look to regain the Celtic Cup title.
Wales will take on Ireland at 1pm before facing Scotland at 3pm, with the tournament opening with Scotland versus Ireland at 11am.
Congratulations, Sid, and best of luck this weekend playing for Wales.
Sid is proudly sponsored by Billington Structures
