Sheffield Eagles Sign Winger Billy Walkley on Two-and-a-Half-Year Deal

Sheffield Eagles are thrilled to announce the signing of former Keighley Cougars winger Billy Walkley on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The talented youngster joins Craig Lingard’s squad after an impressive spell with Keighley, where he scored 24 tries in 36 appearances since the beginning of the 2024 season.

Twenty of those tries came during a standout 2024 campaign, that saw the Cougars reach the Betfred League One Grand Final.

Walkley’s stellar form earned him international recognition with a call-up to the Wales squad for the Autumn Internationals last year.

Comfortable playing anywhere across the backline, the Welshman brings versatility and added competition to the Eagles’ ranks for the remainder of this season and beyond.

He is immediately available for selection and will be in contention for this Sunday’s Betfred Championship clash against York Knights at the Steel City Stadium.
