Sheffield Eagles Awards Night Sells Out
21/09/2023
The Annual Sheffield Eagles Awards Night has sold out with just over a week to go before the event!
Next Friday, 320 guests will celebrate at the Sheffield Mercure St Paul’s Hotel all aspects of the club’s success in 2023 which has seen men’s team secure at least a top four finish in BetFred Championship with a huge finish to the regular season due to take place this Sunday vs Bradford Bulls at 6.30pm.
It has also been a huge year for our women’s team who finished 5th in their first season in the Women’s Championship after forming in 2022 and an impressive turnaround for our Wheelchair team who finished 3rd in the Wheelchair Championship having gone without a win last year in their debut season.
For all three teams, a Shooting Star, Most Improved Player, Player’s Player and the coveted Player Of the Year trophies will be presented whilst the night will also recognise the accomplishments of our Learning Disability Rugby League team’s players.
Additionally the Sheffield Eagles Hall Of Fame and Roll Of Honour will also see new inductees as part of the Eagles Foundation’s National Lottery Heritage Fund project.
“Our ‘One Club’ approach has brought a real family feeling to the club,” noted Mark Hannigan, Operations Director, “and its no surprise that we have had such huge interest in the event. I’m very grateful to all our sponsors, supporters, volunteers and of course our staff and players from all of the teams who have made the Sheffield Eagles Awards Night one of the hottest tickets in town!
“Whilst there will still be play-off games for both our men’s and our wheelchair teams to play following the Awards Night, the event will be a celebration of the continued rise of Sheffield Eagles and an opportunity to thank everyone involved for their ongoing contributions.”
