Regional Learning Disability Super League Festivals mark week of celebration

19/06/2024

Hundreds of players will be living their dreams this weekend in two Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League festivals, celebrating National Learning Disability Week.

An impressive 19 clubs from all over the country will be welcomed to events hosted by Hull KR Foundation and the Warrington Wolves Foundation on Sunday.

Organised by the RFL in association with Community Integrated Care, one of the UK’s most successful social care charities, this adapted, non-competitive version of rugby league is enabling dreams to come true on and off the field - tackling exclusion and enabling independence.

With free entry and parking available to all festivals, the rugby league community is encouraged to attend and show their support for the players, their families and coaches.

Sheffield Eagles will be taking our LDSL side to Hull this Sunday and will come up against the likes of; Bradford Bulls, Castleford Tigers, Featherstone Rovers, Halifax Panthers, Hull FC, Hull KR, Leeds Rhinos, Wakefield Trinity, and York Knights, who will all be fielding sides in Sunday's festival.

Eagles Foundation Disability Inclusion Officer Jack Pemberton said "We’re proud to be part of the outstanding disability inclusion work that goes on across rugby league and provide opportunities for people with a range of additional needs.

“Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League Festivals are always fantastic occasion, and we’re really looking forward to playing in Hull this weekend”
