PREVIEW | Oldham visit the Steel City Stadium this Saturday!
17/03/2026
Sheffield Eagles return to South Yorkshire this Saturday as they host Oldham RLFC in Round 7 of the Betfred Championship (3pm kick-off).
The Eagles will be aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the league campaign, having secured four wins from four against Whitehaven, Barrow, Hunslet and Rochdale.
Craig Lingard’s side head into the fixture full of confidence following an emphatic 50-0 victory away at Swinton Lions last weekend, a result which also booked their place in the First Round of this season’s 1895 Cup.
Visitors Oldham arrive having already undergone a managerial change this season. Following the departure of Mike Ford, former Keighley Cougars boss Alan Kilshaw has stepped up from assistant to take charge as their new Head Coach.
Oldham have recorded two wins from their opening four league fixtures in the Betfred Championship, but come into Saturday’s clash on the back of a 58-0 defeat to Catalans Dragons in the Betfred Challenge Cup.
Supporters can find all the key information ahead of this weekend’s match below, as the Eagles look to continue their strong start to the season.
