It’s a first run-out ahead of the 2026 Betfred Championship campaign for the Eagles, who travel to Cougar Park to take on Keighley Cougars on Saturday afternoon, with kick-off at 3pm.

Craig Lingard’s side faced Bradford Bulls last Saturday in an opposed training session, but this weekend’s clash will provide the first proper test for his new-look squad against fellow Betfred Championship opposition.

New signings such as Jordan Lilley, Kieran Gill, George Griffin, and Lennie Ellis could all feature on Saturday, giving supporters the first chance to see these additions in action on the field.

Following the merger of the Championship and League One, both sides will now compete in the combined league next year, though they will not meet each other in the regular season.

Keighley endured a challenging campaign last year, finishing second bottom of League One with only six wins from eighteen league games, and they’ll be hoping for improved fortunes in 2026.
