Paul Broadbent named as Assistant Coach

Sheffield Eagles are delighted to announce club legend Paul Broadbent as an Assistant Coach to Director of Rugby Mark Aston.

Broadbent’s history at the Eagles is unprecedented as captain of the 1998 Challenge Cup winning side.

A hard-as-nails prop forward, Broadbent’s experience will prove invaluable for the current Eagles pack as they get to learn from one of the best.

“It’s great news that we can bring Paul on to the coaching staff,” said Aston.

“His credentials as a player speak for itself and he is someone that this group should be learning from at every session.

“We’re all looking forward to 2023 and the introduction of Beans to our staff only increases that excitement; for players, fans and the coaches themselves.”
