MATCH PREVIEW | We welcome Whitehaven this Sunday!
18/06/2026
This Sunday, we welcome Whitehaven RLFC to The MEPS International Home of Football Stadium for our Round 17 Betfred Championship fixture.
Craig Lingard’s side head into this game looking to return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats against London Broncos and Barrow Raiders, with the focus now firmly on putting in a strong performance on home soil.
Whitehaven will make their first visit to our new home this weekend, as they face the Eagles in Round 17 of the Betfred Championship. It will also be the third meeting between the two sides this year, following the clash at the Steel City Stadium in the Betfred Challenge Cup 2nd Round back in January. Just a week prior to that cup tie, the Eagles travelled to Whitehaven in the opening round of the Betfred Championship, where Lingard’s side secured an 11–4 victory in a tough, hard-fought contest on the road.
See below for all the essential information ahead of Sunday’s clash with Whitehaven.
