Match Preview | We head to Salford this Sunday!
08/07/2026
The Eagles return to Betfred Championship action this weekend with a trip to the CorpAcq Stadium to take on Salford R.L.F.C. on Sunday afternoon (3pm KO).
After a two-week break, Craig Lingard’s side will be refreshed and ready to build on their recent form as they look to make it three league victories in a row in Greater Manchester.
Back-to-back wins over Whitehaven and Dewsbury before the break secured league doubles against both sides, and the Eagles will now be aiming to complete another season double after defeating Salford at the Steel City Stadium back in April.
Salford have won two of their last three matches to keep themselves firmly in the race for the playoff places. They currently sit just outside the top 10 on points difference and, despite having played two more games than Dewsbury in the final playoff spot, know that another victory this weekend could see them climb into the playoff positions.

MATCH REFEREE
This weekend's match will be officiated by Adam Williams.
The Championship referee was also in charge of our trip to Hunslet earlier this season, when we secured a 24-16 victory at the South Leeds Stadium in April.
Williams most recently officiated London Broncos' 78-16 win over Hunslet at The Kufflink Stadium last weekend.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
We make our return to Salford this weekend for the first time in eleven years, but the focus is on ending a much longer wait, securing our first victory there in twenty-eight years.
A win would also see Craig Lingard’s side complete another league double this season in the Betfred Championship.
