Match Preview | Eagles travel to Doncaster in Betfred Championship

Sheffield Eagles travel to Doncaster RLFC in Round 2 of the Betfred Championship this coming Friday.
This will be the second meeting between the two sides this season already, having met several weeks ago in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Group Stage, where Mark Aston’s side were victorious.
Having tasted defeat for the first time in nine games last week at Wigan Warriors in the Betfred Challenge Cup 6th Round, the Eagles will be looking to get back to winning ways and extend their winning start in the Betfred Championship.
Doncaster marked their return to Rugby League’s second-tier two weeks ago with a 36-20 victory over York Knights at the Eco-Power Stadium and will hope also to remain unbeaten in the league this weekend by securing a win over their South Yorkshire rivals.

Spectators will be situated in the East Stand at the Eco-Power Stadium, where unreserved seating will be in place between blocks F10-F13.

The Eagles will be hoping to make it eight successive victories against Doncaster on Friday afternoon.
The last victory Doncaster hold over Sheffield Eagles came as a 42-34 win in the Championship, during the 2014 season, which was staged at the Owlerton Stadium.
