Match Preview | Double header at the Steel City Stadium on Sunday!
18/07/2025
It’s our second Rugby League double header of the season this Sunday at the Steel City Stadium, with both our Women’s Red and Men’s teams in action across the day.
Action gets underway at 12:30pm when Andrea Dobson MBE and Louis Townsend’s Women’s Red team take to the field against Swinton Lionesses in R7 of the Championship.
The Eagles currently sit 8th in the league table, four points and four positions behind this Sunday’s opponents, so they’ll be going out there looking for victory to kick-start the day of Rugby.
Following on after this, our Men’s team will take to the field looking for a first win in five league appearances as they take on London Broncos in R18 of the Betfred Championship.
At the end of May, Craig Lingard’s side ran out as narrow winners in the capital against the Broncos, so the Eagles will be looking for a victory which could see us record a first league double of the season this Sunday.
Please read below for all the key information you need to know ahead of this weekend’s double-header.
