Match Preview | A trip to Featherstone this Sunday!

05/03/2025

Sheffield Eagles return to Betfred Championship action this coming Sunday when we travel to The Millennium Stadium to take on Featherstone Rovers (3pm KO).

We’re on the lookout for a first league win of the season after our opening two league games of the new campaign ended in defeat, but Craig Lingard’s side will aim to take confidence heading into the weekend’s fixture having beaten Doncaster 50-18 last Sunday in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup 1st Round.

Featherstone will head into Sunday’s game under new Head Coach Paul Cooke, who recently was promoted to the role from an assistant coach capacity, following the recent departure of James Ford.

The Flat Cappers earned a good win last weekend at home to Keighley Cougars, also in the 1895 Cup, and they’ll be looking to secure a first league win under their new Head Coach this Sunday.

Please read below for all the key information you need to know ahead of Sunday’s trip to Featherstone.
