Martyn Reilly joins Sheffield Eagles

Sheffield Eagles are delighted to confirm the signing of former Widnes Vikings forward Martyn Reilly on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Reilly returns for his second spell with the club, having previously made ten appearances and scored one try during a brief stint in the 2022 season.

The experienced prop, who has also represented Dewsbury Rams and Oldham, reunites with Head Coach Craig Lingard for a second time, having spent two years under his leadership previously at Batley Bulldogs.

Following his departure from Batley, the 29-year-old has spent the last two seasons with Widnes Vikings. Now, as the Eagles approach the halfway point of the Betfred Championship campaign, Reilly makes the move back to Yorkshire.

Martyn is available for immediate selection and is in contention for this Sunday’s clash with York Knights at the LNER Community Stadium (3pm kick-off).
