Marcus Green signs a two-year deal with Sheffield Eagles!

Sheffield Eagles are delighted to announce the permanent signing of forward Marcus Green from Midlands Hurricanes on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a loan spell with the Eagles at the end of the 2025 campaign as he went on to make seven appearances for Craig Lingard’s side.

It was a return into the Betfred Championship for the young forward, who started the year in League One with the Hurricanes, where he made 13 appearances before making the move to South Yorkshire.

Head Coach Craig Lingard commented “I think last year was good for him to come in on loan and make that step up from League One.

“I think he’ll have really benefited from his loan last season getting to understand how tough and physical the Championship is, and hopefully with the middles coming in and the ones that we’ve already got contracted for next year, he’ll be able to really learn from them and hopefully develop over the next two seasons.”

Green becomes the sixth new addition to the squad for the 2026 campaign following the recent arrivals of Joe Brown, Harry Bowes, Conor Fitzsimmons, Josh Hodson and George Griffin.
