Marcus Green joins Sheffield Eagles on loan

Sheffield Eagles are pleased to confirm the signing of Midlands Hurricanes forward Marcus Green on a loan deal that will run until the end of the 2025 season.

As part of the deal, Lewis Peachey will go the other way on loan to gain some valuable game time.

The 22-year-old has featured 13 times for the Hurricanes so far this year and now makes the move to South Yorkshire as he becomes an Eagle for the remainder of the campaign.

Currently in his second season with Midlands, the powerful prop also brings valuable experience from previous spells in the Betfred Championship and League One, having represented the likes of Bradford Bulls, Hunslet, and Cornwall.

Green will now come straight into contention for selection for Sunday’s Betfred Championship Round 18 fixture against London Broncos at the Steel City Stadium.
