Loan Eagle Glover becomes permanent

Sheffield Eagles are pleased to announce the permanent signing of James Glover from York Knights on a two-year deal.

Glover had initially signed for the Eagles - for his second stint in South Yorkshire - on loan midway through the 2023 season.

After a number of impressive outings, Director of Rugby Mark Aston acted fast to tie him down to a permanent deal.

“It’s great that we have been able to keep James in the Steel City on a permanent basis,” said Aston.

“He was outstanding for ourselves in his first stint and his 100% attitude was clear to see in the final months of the 2023 campaign.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how he’ll continue to improve and add to our push to maintaining the playoff spot we achieved this year.”
