Kai Morgan signs new deal for 2027

23/10/2026

Kai Morgan has become the latest player to commit his future to Sheffield Eagles after signing a new deal to remain with the club for the 2027 season.

Since joining the Eagles at the start of last season, the young half-back has made 27 appearances, where he scored seven tries and kicked 46 goals across the year.

Morgan crossed for his first try in an Eagles shirt during our Challenge Cup third-round defeat to Warrington Wolves back in February, before adding further tries against Salford, Workington, Rochdale and Halifax throughout the 2026 season.

The former Salford man will now continue as part of Ryan Sheridan’s squad heading into 2027, becoming the 18th player to be under contract for the season ahead.

His new deal follows recent extensions for the likes of Will Oakes, Masi Matongo and Corey Johnson across the past couple of weeks, as the Eagles continue to build towards the 2027 campaign.
