Jordan Abdull joins Sheffield Eagles on loan from Widnes Vikings
21/04/2026
Sheffield Eagles have confirmed the signing of experienced half-back Jordan Abdull on an initial one-month loan deal from Widnes Vikings.
The 30-year-old joins Craig Lingard’s squad for the next month initially, adding depth and competition to the half-back positions, alongside Kai Morgan and Lennie Ellis.
Born in Hull, Abdull arrives in South Yorkshire after beginning the season with Widnes, where he has made nine appearances and successfully kicked 31 goals for Allan Coleman’s side.
A former England international, Abdull brings significant top-level experience, having made more than 120 Betfred Super League appearances across spells with Hull FC, Hull KR, London Broncos and Catalans Dragons. He joined Widnes ahead of the 2026 season following a year out of the game, in 2025, due to injury.
The loan agreement includes a recall clause, that can be activated after seven days.
Abdull is available for selection immediately and could feature in Sunday’s Betfred Championship fixture against Salford R.L.F.C at the Steel City Stadium (3pm kick-off). Click HERE to secure your tickets for this weekend’s fixture.
