Jamie Cooke signs with the Eagles
04/03/2026
Sheffield Eagles are delighted to confirm the signing of utility player Jamie Cooke on a deal until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old earns a contract with the club following a successful trial period with the Eagles.
Cooke has trained with the Eagles throughout pre-season, and he featured off the bench in December’s victory over Keighley Cougars. After impressing the coaching staff with his performances in training and during pre-season, Head Coach Craig Lingard has rewarded him with a deal for the remainder of the 2026 campaign.
Comfortable at both centre and in the back row, Cooke arrives with an extensive background in rugby union. He spent the past eight seasons with Rotherham Titans, making more than 100 appearances and scoring 23 tries during his time at Clifton Lane.
Jamie will be proudly sponsored for the remainder of the 2026 season by Gary Dawson, Lindsay Jones and Rotherham Nomads X League, and he comes into contention to feature in this weekend’s Betfred Championship clash on the road at Rochdale Hornets.
