Izaac Farrell extends Eagles contract for 2024
10/11/2023
Sheffield Eagles half-back Izaac Farrell has signed a one-year extension with the club, ensuring his stay in the Steel City for the 2024 season at least.
Farrell signed for the Eagles before the cancelled 2020 season and played a major part in his first two seasons with the South Yorkshire club before he suffered an ACL injury in August 2022.
The 25-year-old returned to action in this season's Summer Bash victory over Newcastle Thunder, and also spent time with Midlands Hurricanes on dual-registration in 2023.
Director of Rugby Mark Aston said: “We're delighted to have Izaac signed up for 2024. He's still a relatively young player, with huge amounts of potential to unlock.
“He wears his heart on his sleeve and plays with a passion that we love working with.
“The challenge for Izaac is to establish himself as one of the first-team starters again next season.
“We know the sky is the limit for Izaac and we're looking forward to seeing him in the red and gold next season".
