Help preserve over 45 years of grassroots rugby league history.

05/10/2026

The Eagles Foundation is looking to develop a two year heritage project celebrating the last 45 years of amateur, community and student rugby league across Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.

They are looking to apply for funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund and if successful, the project would: record oral histories; digitise at risk photographs and documents; develop the Eagles Heritage website; and create films, exhibitions, publications, learning activities and community events.

Please support the bid by sharing your memories or ideas through our short online questionnaire by 5pm on Friday 27th November 2026:
