GAMEDAY GUIDE | HERITAGE DAY

This Sunday, Sheffield Eagles will celebrate our 40th Year Anniversary games with a number of our teams taking to the field to mark the occasion.

Our Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair sides all face crucial games, whilst our LDSL players will be in action on the pitch at half-time during the men’s game against Bradford at Olympic Legacy Park

Please find below a full itinerary of how the day will unfold for any supporters wanting to get behind our teams:

ITINERARY

10am: Sheffield Eagles Wheelchair Red vs Bradford Bulls

Take in the first game of the day as our Red Wheelchair side look to defend their unbeaten start in the league and make it a seventh successive win in the Championship East as they look to close in to become the East Championship League Leaders winners.

The game will be played at the English Institute of Sport, and entry is free for all spectators.

12pm: Sheffield Eagles Wheelchair Gold vs Bradford Bulls ‘A’

Our Wheelchair Gold side will face then face Bradford Bulls ‘A’ after the Red teams game in a friendly, so stick around for another great game of Wheelchair Rugby League. The game will be played at the English Institute of Sport, and entry is free for all spectators.

12pm: Sheffield Eagles Women Red vs Dewsbury Moor Ladies

Following the Wheelchair Red game, and if you fancy a change of scenery, why not head up to Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park (Bawtry Road) to watch our Women’s Red side in North Championship action against Dewsbury Moor Ladies.

After a two-week gap, Liam Browne’s side will hope to return to winning ways in their last league game of the season after defeat on the road at Salford Red Devils last time out.

The Women’s Red Team have also secured a home playoff semi-final spot and could face either Oulton Raidettes or Salford Red Devils in next weekend’s semi-final.

Free entry is in operation once again, so head down and get behind the Women’s Red Team!

2pm: Sheffield Eagles Women Gold vs Orrell St James

If you’re not making the trip down to Olympic Legacy Park for the 3pm kick off, why not stay around at Bawtry Road and watch our Women’s Gold side in action as they take on Orrell St James in League Two.

As per the Women’s Red game, free entry is in place for this fixture so get down and support the Gold Team!

3pm: Sheffield Eagles vs Bradford Bulls

The men’s team take to the field at 3pm as two of the top six go head-to-head in a crucial game in the Betfred Championship. The Eagles will look to return to winning ways in the league after defeat in France last weekend against Toulouse Olympique, whilst the Bulls head into this game off the back of Friday’s 54-0 win at home to Dewsbury.

Tickets remain on sale for this game, and can be bought HERE.

Former players and staff from over the years will be introduced to the crowd as part of the pre-game build up at OLP, so get down early to take this in!

We advise supporters to buy tickets for this Sunday’s game in advance to avoid disappointment, as we expect there to be a big crowd at Olympic Legacy Park.

Turnstiles will open at 1:05pm.

We hope as many of you as possible can join us this Sunday for what is expected to be a great day for everyone associated with Sheffield Eagles.
